What is a death doula?

Black background with a white curved line resembling a graph or chart curve.

A death doula, sometimes called an end of life doula, is a non-medical compassionate companion who helps individuals & families navigate the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of dying.

Death doulas support the transition with presence, information, and intention.

Death doulas bring light into a part of life that is often left in the dark. I remind you that dying is not just a medical event — it is a human experience.

By offering education, support, and compassion, I help individuals and families approach death with presence rather than fear, and love rather than avoidance. Whether someone is weeks, months, or years from dying, I help people live, and die, with intention, dignity, and peace.

Death doulas offer non-medical holistic support — tending not only to the practical aspects of dying but also the emotional, spiritual, and relations ones.

I serve anyone approaching the end of life, those supporting a loved one through dying, or anyone who wishes to prepare intentionally for their own death.

My presence brings steadiness, understanding, and a sense of sacredness to one of life’s most profound transitions.
